Welcome to DriveAssist. By downloading, accessing, or using the DriveAssist mobile application, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with these terms, do not install or use the application.
Mandatory Driver Safety Disclaimer: DriveAssist is strictly an auxiliary driving utility. As a motor vehicle operator, you remain solely and exclusively responsible for the safe operation of your vehicle, adherence to all traffic laws, and maintaining full visual attention on the road at all times. Never manipulate your device or screen while driving in a manner that compromises vehicular safety.
1. Driver Responsibility and Road Safety
DriveAssist is engineered to minimize manual device interactions through hands-free utilities, voice shortcuts, and cockpit organization. By using the application, you explicitly acknowledge and agree to the following:
- You will maintain full physical control of your vehicle at all times and follow all applicable road traffic regulations, speed limits, and mobile phone usage laws in your jurisdiction.
- You will set up your destinations, contacts, and custom shortcuts before placing your vehicle in motion.
- Salina Labs and its developers assume zero liability for any moving violations, traffic fines, collisions, personal injuries, deaths, or property damage resulting from vehicle operation while using the application.
2. User Accounts and Master Key Security
Certain cloud backup capabilities require account creation. When using an account:
- You agree to provide accurate information and safeguard your credentials.
- Zero-Knowledge Master Password: Your encrypted cloud backups are protected using a hardware-derived master key based on your secret passkey or phrase. Because Salina Labs does not possess or store this key, we cannot recover your encrypted vault data if you lose your master credentials.
- You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and backups of your master access keys.
3. Subscriptions, Payments, and Billing
DriveAssist provides free core utilities and optional premium subscription tiers (DriveAssist Pro):
- In-App Purchases: Subscriptions and in-app upgrades are processed securely via Google Play In-App Billing and verified through RevenueCat.
- Automatic Renewal: Recurring subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours prior to the conclusion of the active billing cycle.
- Management and Refunds: You can manage, modify, or cancel your subscription at any time within your Google Play Store account settings. Refunds are handled in accordance with Google Play Store refund policies.
4. License and Intellectual Property
Salina Labs grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use DriveAssist for personal, non-commercial purposes on compatible Android devices.
- All code, interface designs, graphics, branding, trademarks, and documentation are the exclusive property of Salina Labs.
- You may not decompile, reverse-engineer, modify, or extract the source code of DriveAssist, except where permitted by applicable open-source license agreements.
5. Termination and Account Deletion
You may terminate your agreement with Salina Labs at any time:
- You can uninstall the application and discontinue usage.
- You can permanently purge your cloud backups and delete your user account directly within the application under Settings > Danger Zone > Permanently Delete Account.
- Salina Labs reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or compromise network security.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
DriveAssist is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory. Salina Labs makes no warranty that:
- The application will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every vehicular infotainment system.
- GPS speed estimates, road telemetry, or third-party navigation shortcuts are free from lag, signal interruption, or inaccuracies.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Salina Labs, its affiliates, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, vehicular damage, personal injury, or data loss, arising from or connected to your access to or use of the application.
8. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Trinidad & Tobago, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
